What do you think of The Ministry of Education Technology Standards?

 

"When you talk about 'technology integration' to us this is something completely different and is often referred to as elearning, blended learning, integrating ict, learning with digital technologies...In the NZ curriculum we look to the Vision of this document of our learners 'who will seize the opportunities offered by new knowledge and technologies to secure a sustainable social, cultural, economic, and environmental future for our country and ... who will be confident, connected, actively involved, and lifelong learners.'

 

So of equal importance to having knowledge of the 8 learning areas are the key competencies - and these are what I refer to in our strategy documents.
