MAORI CULTURE

The Maori Greeting

THE MAORI PEOPLE

In New Zealand the traditional greeting involves both the pressing of the forehead and the rubbing of the nose.  This is an intimate and very traditional Maori greeting.

In addition, the Maori people are the indigenous people of New Zealand.  They believe that that Haiwaki is their spritual home.

The Maori people have a far reaching history based in tatoos.  Maori Tatoos are a cultural art form for the Maori people.
